Do you like The Mars Volta?
Their early work was a little too ‘punk’ for my taste, but when De-Loused in the Comatorium came out in ‘03, I think they really came into their own - both thematically and artistically. The whole album has a clear, progressive sound, and a new sheen of abstract lyricism that really gives the songs a big boost. They have been compared to Coheed and Cambria, but I think The Mars Volta has a far more bitter, depressing view of the world.
In ‘05, The Mars Volta released this, Frances the Mute, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is ‘Cassandra Gemini’, a song so long most people probably don’t even listen to it all the way through - but they should! Because it’s not just about the struggle of a man looking for his long lost mother, and the importance of blood ties, it’s also a personal statement about the band itself!
and if you still don’t get it or haven’t watched the movie, it’s from THIS scene

What happened to Omar's bandcamp?
Several fans noticed there was no material on Omar’s (and deantoni’s) bandcamp night of the 22nd, and after a few days Nadie’s single popped up. In between that there was a bit of a miscommunication between some parties in the coma, but hey…at least Matt’s still posting on the coma and we have a new take on Omar right? So for now i guess we have to wait and see if more Nadie pops up…or Omar’s discography…
Hello! I realize in that paragraph about Omar and Cedric being seen together, you were quoting someone else... but would you happen to have the source of that instagram picture? Plz and thank. PS. Love your blog :)
Yes! Matt Bittman is Bosnian Rainbows sound engineer/tour manager, so he’s the guy you see walking around before the show with an ipad on hand setting up most gear. He’s been with them during TMV also, and helped out during the ATD-i reunion.» HERE's « a video what he does! Also the IG picture was deleted. It's from Cedric's wife's account, but it's been passed around through tmv sites like The Marble Shrine, the Coma, and FB pages like TMV Argentina and TMV Italia
Last tidbit I forgot to post in regards to THIS post. TMV…2015 maybe??
